· Food and toiletries. Donations of these items can help considerably, but we need only certain types of food, and only those in date! Please contact Centre 33 to find out about current needs and how to deliver donations. Please note that at Harvest Festival time, especially, we get many offers of food and contacting Centre 33 in advance of arranging your collection is most important. Without contacting us first, we may not be able to accept your donation as our storage space is limited.
· Clothes. Centre 33 can use good quality second hand clothes. We have a much greater need for men’s clothes than women’s. Think of what someone living on the streets might need eg warm sweater, trouser, shoes, coats (depending on the season).
We can also use new socks, underwear and, in the colder weather, gloves and scarves.
Note: Storage is limited so please do not bring donations to the Centre without contacting us first - please email Information@Centre33.org
· Blankets and sleeping bags. People still sleep rough in St Albans and we try to offer sleeping bags or blankets to those in need. However, please note that:
1. We cannot take duvets or pillows; they are too bulky for people sleeping rough.
2. Storage is limited so please do not bring donations to the Centre without contacting us first - please email Information@Centre33.org
